Description

NOTO Pantry is a new, design-forward cafe opening in mid-June in Mount Waverley. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to lead our bakery and pastry program as part of a supportive, professional kitchen team. A rare opportunity to influence the direction of a new venue from day one, with the added benefit of a Monday to Friday

• Monday to Friday only – No weekends

What You’ll Be Doing

Uphold and maintain the café’s bakery and pastry standards with the kitchen team
Prepare and supervise daily production, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
Ensure all sections are supplied with fresh, high-quality products in line with forecasted business levels
Develop new flavours and seasonal items while continually improving the existing pastry offering
Conduct daily checks of all pastry storage and production areas, maintaining hygiene and food safety
Contribute to weekly scheduling and team coordination to meet operational needs
Accurately follow recipes, manage stock levels, and ensure consistent supply of ingredients
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to support overall service efficiency and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef, Assistant Pastry Chef, or Chef de Partie in the pastry section
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
Strong background in French pastry techniques and refined baking practices
Qualifications in Kitchen Production and Management (or equivalent)
Excellent knowledge of hygiene and OH&S standards in commercial kitchens
Skilled in kitchen organisation, production planning, and team leadership
Proficient in using digital tools for recipe documentation and communication
