Part-time Veterinary Receptionist Oakleigh Central Veterinary Clinic location Melbourne.

Who are we Oakleigh Central Vet is an independent small animal veterinary clinic located in the south eastern suburbs, surrounded by a vibrant multicultural community.  We are open Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm and predominantly see dogs and cats.  Each day we have between 2-3 vets and 3-4 nurses working collaboratively to achieve the best health outcomes for our patients.  We are an accredited stress-free clinic, doing everything in our power to create an enjoyable experience for both pets and owners alike.

What is the role the reception role is a new one to our clinic and pivotal in maintaining our reputation for amazing customer service.  You will be primarily responsible for answering phone enquiries, taking bookings, checking in and checking out clients and over the counter sales.  You will be supported in your role by a floating nurse who will help with any overflow experienced on busy days.

The role is approximately 24 hours per week spread over 3 days with potential to grow the role in the future. Please note this is not a pathway into veterinary nursing.  We value the need for a standalone reception role to help take our clinic to the next level in customer experience.

Our must haves animal experience and knowledge or animal husbandry needed. You must be an Australian resident or citizen. Experience in a reception or customer facing role. A positive attitude that just won’t quit. Ability to work quickly, efficiently and logically.
