The opportunity opportunity to assist in the care, maintenance and enhancement of council’s physical environment, as a member of a team dedicated to the provision of quality park services. Reporting directly to the Parks Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following maintaining an up to date knowledge of current horticulture and park maintenance practices and associated tools and equipment, ensuring the safe and effective operation and maintenance of plant, machinery, tools and equipment, undertaking safety checks and maintenance checks, recording all required operational activities on council’s asset management system, reporting on the status of works, machinery, tools and equipment, in addition to customer requests and any issues. About you to be suitable for this role, you will possess certificate iii in horticulture and/or equivalent experience, experience in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of plant, machinery, tools and equipment relevant to the maintenance of parks and reserves, a fair degree of physical fitness and agility, since this position involves some lifting, reaching, bending and the capacity to operate various hand tools, plant and equipment, current victorian medium rigid driver’s licence or willingness to obtain.
