About this Position

As our Operations Manager in Townsville, you’ll lead day-to-day success across warehouse and transport operations, while shaping how the branch grows and performs.

You’ll be the glue between warehouse, transport, and sales - driving logistics, safety, and stock management and the voice that brings clarity, empathy, and direction to every challenge. With a new, larger site launching in Bohle in 2026, you’ll play a key role in setting us up for the next chapter. Bring your ideas, shape the culture, and put your stamp on something big.

Key Responsibilities

Owning daily operations across warehousing, transport, and inventory functions.
Planning - ensuring resourcing, stock, and delivery readiness during peak periods and new product rollouts.
Leading from the floor - building rapport, resolving people issues, and supporting your team to do their best work.
Liaising with sales and transport teams to keep customer deliveries smooth and on time.
Managing site performance, compliance, safety (OH&S), HACCP, and continuous improvement efforts.
Coaching and developing your team - you'll have 2 direct reports and the support of a broader branch network.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

Strong operational leadership experience within logistics, warehousing, or transport.
People-first mindset - you’re approachable, empathetic, and not afraid to have tough conversations.
Hands-on leadership style - not afraid to roll up your sleeves and be visible on the floor.
Solid understanding of safety standards, compliance, food safety, and HACCP requirements.
Strong planning, communication, and negotiation skills.
Tech-savvy with sound computer literacy
You're organised and able to anticipate what's around the corner.
Must hold a current LF Forklift Licence.
