Operations Manager Stellar Recruitment location Southland.

Our client our client is a most regarded multi-disciplinary civil contractors with in the Southland Area. This Region is an integral part of one of the companies development they successfully deliver numerous civil construction projects throughout Southland Area. This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing team that will offer ongoing training and support. There is also plenty of scope for career progression for dedicated individuals.

The opportunity they require a dynamic and multi-disciplinary Operations Manager with 10 years experience in managing civil construction projects. You will be expected to plan, resource, and coordinate the delivery of their projects as well as be competent in estimating and bid writing to grow this business.

Being an office-based role, you will attend and contribute to regular site meetings across multiple projects and be able to drive a positive safety culture. You will need to have a proven track record in delivering a range of significant civil construction projects such as in-ground works and reinforced structures. The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified for a Bachelor of Engineering. Working with the CEO, and General Manager to define and manage the region’s strategic approach, internal and external risks.

You will have NZCE or equivalent qualification. Demonstrated experience managing operations within a competitive contracting environment. Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and relate to people at all levels. Demonstrated planning skills. Experience in a senior management role. Financial analysis skills.

Experience managing HR processes. Commercially astute. Excellent relationship development and networking skills. Strong communication skills including the ability to represent the organisation. A self-starter who is both organised and disciplined. Achievement orientated. Works effectively under pressure, making considered decisions within a complex and dynamic environment. Active participation and ownership of organisational issues. The ability to succeed through others.
