We specialise in all areas of supply chain management including Sea-Freight, Air Freight, Road/Rail Transport, Dry/Cold Warehousing and all forms of cargo. SEAWAY is looking for an Operations Manager with demonstrative experience in operational processes and client relationships. The role utilising your experience in all aspects of managing an operationally focused team, you will be required to develop, manage and support operations staff in both Import and Export operations. Reporting to the NZ National Manager we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate strong leadership & management skills as well a comprehensive understanding of logistics processes.

Basic responsibilities of this role will include communicating with internal stakeholders at our Australian and China offices. Develop and implement operational efficiencies in line with business unit strategic plan and objectives. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Communicating with external stakeholders, customers, suppliers, government bodies. Reporting and administration. Continuous improvement of processes and systems and development of the perishable team.

Experience and knowledge minimum 5 years’ experience in operations or a management role within the supply chain industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to operate autonomously and self-motivate. Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace. Thorough knowledge of CargoWise is essential.
