Your role supports UniSuper doing this by ensuring continuity of UniSuper services across Platforms & Engineering.  The Platforms & Engineering Network Operations Engineer forms a critical element in the management, deployment and operational lifecycle of all network services within Platforms & Engineering.

This is a level 2/3 Network Operations role which is responsible for incident diagnosis and where appropriate, incident resolution, and will also be responsible for the efficient escalation of ongoing issues to level 4 engineering resources or vendor for further investigation.

Ensure correct levels of prioritisation and escalation are applied as appropriate to all incidents under investigation. Work collaboratively with the wider UniSuper teams to resolve Incidents. Facilitate provision of Network services via received Requests. Provide technical support and escalation where appropriate.

Define monitoring requirements to monitor all networking infrastructure, ensuring adherence to service level agreements. Perform in and out of hours changes and following documented change management processes. Ensure all incident and task queues are monitored and managed. Participate in an “on call” roster system and provide after-hours IT support to the business.

About you experience working in a Network Operations Centre. Knowledge and exposure to Juniper switches, routers, and firewalls; and experience to F5 LTM/GTM would be valued. Knowledge and exposure to Aruba NAC (ClearPass, WiFi, VPN) would be desirable with any public cloud technologies and associated Network concepts to connect and consume services. Knowledge and understanding of Compute, Storage, Network and Database functions. A sound understanding of the SDLC and the general principles of change, incident and problem management.
