We aim to grow multicultural values across our State and to empower newly arrived Queenslanders from diverse cultural and language backgrounds through advocacy, community development and a range of client services.

About the role Multicultural Australia is currently offering an opportunity for an Operations Assistant to work as part of our Employment Services team. The role is part-time 0.6FTE, fixed term for 12 months and is based in Brisbane.

The role of the Operations Assistant is to work across all service delivery locations and areas of the Employment Services team to provide administrative support.

Among other duties, the successful candidate will provide administrative coordination for group activities and training sessions, coordinate bookings, invite employment candidates, manage record keeping.

Assist in the management of employer and client records using internal databases, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely input of data. Provide data entry support to Employment team undertaking contractual compliance reporting requirements.

Assist in the coordination of recruitment processes for client vacancies by collating applications and EOIs, arranging interviews and identifying suitable candidates for specific roles. Support Employment team with onboarding documentation processes, prepare induction paperwork, liaise with HR and payroll as required.

Provide basic technical support to clients accessing digital technology for training activities and job search functions.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have effective communication and interpersonal skills. As well as having a confident and positive personality, you will possess qualifications and experience in business administration, information technology or similar fields.

Demonstrated experience providing administrative and operational support with high accuracy and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in CSnet. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate across different departments in a cross cultural work environment and build and maintain strong team and client relationships.
