StudyLink Officers Ministry of Social Development location Manawatu.

We have multiple opportunities for StudyLink Officers to join our processing team, fixed term until March 2021. These opportunities will be based from Palmerston North.

About the role as a StudyLink Officer you have an important role to play. Every action you take impacts New Zealanders lives. Our team is responsible for delivering an end to end service that incorporates the assessment, processing and review of client information and applications.

We provide essential financial assistance and support for clients and their families, including any necessary engagement with clients and stakeholders. As a StudyLink Officer you’ll play a part in supporting students, but also others that may rely on the Ministry for support and assistance.

We aim to deliver quality service to our clients so that they have a positive experience every time they engage with MSD. In addition to the processing work, we are responsible for answering the phone, making outbound calls as required.  As a country we are navigating through uncertain times, and we are looking for great people to come help us provide the support that is needed.

Hours the StudyLink Officer role is 37.55 hours per week which will be worked between the hours 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

About you are professional, energetic, and able to interact and negotiate with a variety of clients over the phone while maintaining a customer service focus. You navigate your way through computer systems with ease and enjoy taking ownership of your work and contributing to team performance. Flexible and agile in your approach you embrace change and learn from it. You are confident working with financial information and can accurately calculate and enter information into computer systems.
