School Office Manager role our fantastic school is situated in Otahuhu, South Auckland. We are looking for a friendly and organised office and attendance manager for our place. This is a great opportunity for a person who enjoys a wide variety of tasks associated with supporting our staff and whanau to make our school a welcoming and happy place to be.

The person in this role will be responsible for managing attendance and financial systems associated with Attendance dues in the Catholic School system. There will be many other tasks which offer personal assistance to the Principal and Senior Leadership team as well. The successful applicant will be situated in the front office reception area, working alongside the Principal’s PA (also Office Administrator). First aid training will be provided if required as this position requires the person to run our sickbay and respond as the main school first aider.

The person who fills this role will be naturally welcoming and kind and have the ability to develop professional relationships with our staff and wider community. Confidentiality in dealing with pastoral and financial matters will be key. We need someone with excellent communication and organisational skills who can both follow existing systems and look for ways to improve them. You will be self-motivated, reliable and flexible, and experienced with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and school databases.

Previous school administration experience and knowledge of Attendance Dues, student management systems and other education sector software would be a strong advantage but is not a prerequisite. Some financial work experience will be an advantage as some of the role requires grant applications and financial administration. The hours are 8:30am to 3.30pm daily. This may be negotiated. The role will be term time only.

Salary is according to the appropriate Grade and Step of the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, dependant on experience and qualifications, this hourly rate will not be less than the living wage of $22.10 (currently) and will be determined based on previous experience and/or qualifications.  A full job description will be provided to those who meet the criteria.
