Office Administrator Orewa North Primary School location Auckland.

We are looking for a Part Time Office Administrator to manage all administrative tasks in our school Office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, react calmly under pressure,  use their initiative, have a “ can do” attitude and work well both independently as well as being part of a team.

Ideal candidates will be capable planners, possess good judgment, and are skilled at relating with various people (staff, parents, students and the public). Excellent attention to detail, IT, numeracy, organisational, time management, and communication are essential for this role. A courteous manner and discretion when dealing with confidential information is vital.

Responsibilities manage events and meetings. Handle scheduling, record-keeping and reporting. Able to communicate with students at their level. Communicate with parents, caregivers and the public. Help shape and uphold the vision of the school. Sick Bay, (be/get trained in First Aid). Weekly Newsletter and staff updates. Stationery ordering. Daily roll checks and absences. Student Lunch orders. Staff room duties as needed.

Requirements experience as a School Administrator is desirable, but not essential. Knowledge of administrative duties. Computer literate (e.g. be able to competently use Word, Excel, Publisher and Google Docs) and education management systems (e.g. eTAP). Excellent communication skills. Outstanding organisational ability. Attention to detail. Problem-solving. Good judgment and decision-making aptitude. Excellent interpersonal and extra-personal skills.
