Office Administrator People Plus location Gisborne.

The Poverty Bay Agricultural & Pastoral Association is responsible for the effective management of the A&P Showgrounds park, including the management and maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and events, including the administration of the campground and the annual A&P Show (a highlight in the Gisborne year, no pressure).

They are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Administrator and Events Coordinator to join their high performing close-knit team. You will be passionate about bringing an event to life and ensuring all the finer details are taken care of by assisting and supporting with all administration duties.

To be successful in this role you will events experience. Have experience processing payroll, GST and PAYE. Have experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing. Financial experience, including funding applications and capital expenditure projects. Be proficient in all Microsoft Office Software. The ability to show initiative, think one step ahead and respond quickly. A knack for working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent time management and communication skills. A strong commitment to Health and Safety. A can-do attitude and ability to adapt and deal with last minute changes and requests. If you like to work in a predictable, day-to-day same operation, then this role isn’t for you. You will need to be comfortable with plans changing and curve balls being thrown at you, whilst still ensuring the priorities are met.
