Office Administration or Customer Support Smits Group location Auckland.

The Smits Group of companies has supplied leading brands to the Automotive Refinish and Automotive Aftermarket for over 40 years, supporting distribution and end users across New Zealand and Australia. We are looking for an Administration Assistant to support our trade team and assist with a wide variety of tasks from sales order entry and communication, customer support, financial data entry and general daily office tasks. Our business supports both retail and trade customers and we look for a great all rounder who is confident in their own skills but hungry to learn more.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to customer order entry, Sales reporting, Sales team and customer support, Upgrading of critical information tools. Co-ordination of product releases to customers and sales force. Excel reporting and analysis. Updating of sales and customer records. General Office and Administration support. You will be delivering a diverse range of assistance with general administration and business support that requires a good eye for detail.

In todays business environment we also look for a team member who is both computer literate and savvy. It is an absolute must that you are very confident with Microsoft and have a minimum Intermediate capabilities with Excel. Previous experience in a Distribution business would be an asset (but not absolutely necessary). Automotive knowledge or experience would be an asset (but not absolutely necessary). That said, if you love cars and products for cars - this is the place to work.

Above all of this we look for that person who is confident, capable and is very customer focused. The successful candidate will have a positive "can do" attitude and must have at least 3 years New Zealand experience in general office duties. This experience, mixed with education and 'grit' will be reviewed during the application process.
