Nursery General Hand Pattullo's Nurseries Ltd location Hawkes Bay. Salary $20 - $24.99 per hour.

Pattullo’s Nurseries Limited is a leading grower of quality stone and pip fruit trees, and rootstocks. We are looking to employ a Nursery General Hand to our team. The successful applicant will work closely with our Foreman to assist with day to day supervision of nursery tasks.

There will be a wide range of duties in this role, some being but not limited to operating specialist nursery equipment. Working alongside our core staff group to assist with their duties. Responsibility to report up to date information back to nursery foreman. Ideally the successful applicant would have relevant experience in the horticultural and or/agricultural sectors, a positive attitude and the willingness to learn.

The successful applicant must have the following, A full drivers licence, A willingness to learn, Be a team player, Have the right attitude, Excellent communication skills. This position will require the ability to work flexible hours to suit seasonal fluctuations and will require someone that is physically fit.

The following is not essential but would be highly advantageous Current Approved handler certificate, Forklift Licence (OSH Certificate). Heavy traffic licences, Class 2-4. We can offer additional training/qualifications and incentives to the right candidate who shows a willingness to learn and advance their career in this industry. Ideally you will have some relevant horticultural experience, particularly in leading staff, however a positive attitude and willingness to learn are more important as on site-training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.
