About Megaport
We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 350 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun.

Our Team Culture
We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do.

About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Network Strategy, the Network Planning Officer plays a key supporting role in managing operational risks and capacity challenges across Megaport’s global network. Operating across APAC, EMEA, and NAM, this position works closely with Network Operations, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure known network risks are tracked, communicated, and resolved efficiently.

The Network Planning Officer is responsible for maintaining the Network Risk Management project in JIRA, coordinating with vendors to support hardware and licensing renewals and upgrades, and assisting Network Procurement Officers in resolving service delivery issues. This is an ideal junior-level position for someone organised, proactive, and interested in growing their career at the intersection of network operations, vendor engagement, and planning.

This role provides a strong foundation for future growth within the Network Strategy team or related functions such as Procurement, Operations Engineering, or Network Commercial Management. It’s ideal for someone looking to build a career in telecoms infrastructure, vendor management, or global network operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Coordinate with Network Operations and Engineering to track and follow up on known network risks and capacity challenges.
Engage with vendors to support the resolution of operational issues and escalate where necessary in partnership with Procurement Officers.
Maintain and manage the Network Risk Management JIRA board, ensuring items are up-to-date and aligned across teams.
Support the planning and coordination of hardware and licensing renewals, and upgrades with vendors.
Monitor vendor delivery timelines and raise risks or delays with the relevant internal stakeholders.
Assist in collecting information and context to support network capacity assessments or planning decisions.
Contribute to reporting on operational risks, vendor escalations, and network capacity tracking.
Participate in regular team meetings and provide cross-functional support across Strategy, Procurement, and Operations.
What We Are Looking For
1–2 years’ experience in telecommunications, IT operations, or vendor support (or a relevant graduate background with internship/work experience).
Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage tasks across multiple stakeholders.
Understanding of hardware lifecycle management, licensing processes, or vendor service delivery is desirable.
Experience using JIRA or similar tracking/project management tools.
Clear and confident communication skills with a collaborative working style.
Proactive, detail-focused, and capable of following through independently.
Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, global network environment.
