We're looking for Mobile Speed Camera Operators in Ballina to enhance road safety by using mobile camera technology to reduce speeding incidents and traffic accidents. This role involves deploying camera equipment on vehicles to capture speeding events, contributing to safer roads in NSW.

Client details our client cares deeply about travel safety. Using the Mobile Speed Camera Program and related technology, they want to reduce speeding and road accidents. As an MSCO, you play a direct role in making NSW roads safer, influencing driver behaviour, and most importantly, saving lives.

These positions are casual but require full-time availability. This usually means working a 38-hour week, but the schedule may be extended when possible. Complete availability is essential; candidates must be ready and available to work on a rotating 24/7 schedule.

Description as an MSCO, you'll play a vital role in making roads safer. You'll deploy camera equipment on vehicles to capture speeding events, utilizing technical software (Windows-based) for configuration, maintenance, and successful event capture.

Perform initial vehicle and camera equipment checks at the depot before departing to your assigned locations. Once at your location, you are responsible for The set up of manual signage and safety. The set up multiple technology platforms and monitor mobile speed cameras by using innovative/smart technology to ensure all data is working, accurate and compliant.

Constant maintenance checks on all cameras, video and company equipment. Troubleshooting and taking necessary action to complete all compliance checks on equipment and location. Monitor and escalate any issues with the vehicle or equipment.

Working closely with the Network Operations Centre team to provide any incident reports. Constant awareness of safety for yourself and those around you. Using the complex IT system to record, manage, update and comply with all data input.

Profile we're looking for determined individuals who excel in technical roles and embrace shift-based work. Please note that the schedules might not suit those with other commitments. As this role often requires working alone, you should thrive in solitary settings. Ideal candidates have a background in 24/7 shift work and field operations. We would love to hear from you if you've worked in control rooms, transportation, driving, courier services, or gaming.

What you need for success be confident working alone in sometimes remote locations. Have previous experience working with multiple IT platforms, conducting regular maintenance checks, data entry, following complex processes and troubleshooting. Manage a 24/7 roster, 365 days a year, with varying/unsociable start and finish times.

Handle 10-12-hour shifts, including extended periods of sitting in a vehicle. Hold a full NSW C class driver's license and provide a record of safe driving history. Have experience working with the public and defusing situations. Possess full Australian work rights and pass an Australian Criminal History Check. Demonstrate previous resilience and patience in challenging situations. Must have minimum 2 Doses of the COVID Vaccine.
