Where you'll be working Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing the primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Junior Medical Officer Manager at Auburn Hospital. The position involves the processes for the payment of Junior Medical Workforce, including data entry of departmental rosters, variations, back adjustments and pay related queries from Junior Medical Officers, prepare and maintain the Intern/RMO/SRMO After-Hours and Relief roster, and assist with the preparation and distribution of the Hospital Daily Duty and Weekly Rosters.

In addition, the position holder will also provide systematic support to VMO claims and Junior Medical Officers teaching and education. This is a target driven position with strict deadlines and performance measures that need to be met and ensure a professional image of the department in dealings with all internal and external personnel. Development and maintenance of positive relationships with all Departments for the timely receipt of rosters and team and term allocations is required

Selection criteria demonstrated experience in administration and management of staff rostering practices and payroll processing preferably in a health related field with advanced computing skills in Microsoft Office, Health Roster, VMO processing. Demonstrated experience in managing payroll and rostering queries and liaising with StaffLink and HealthShare in relation to payroll.

Ability to meet predetermined targets and deadlines and to adopt flexible work practices to meet changing priorities with high volume work environment. Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality, excellent service delivery, proven reliability and work effectively as a team member.

Effective communication, interpersonal, high level analytical and organisational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and experience in working closely with senior and junior medical officers. Demonstrated knowledge of Awards and Agreements pertaining to non specialist medical officers. Experience in Medical Education teaching.
