Medical Receptionist CTL Medical Services location Cairns and Far North.

About Us CTL Medical is a well established General Practice located in the central city of Cairns.  We are looking for an outgoing, bubbly and friendly, dedicated young person to join our team as a medical receptionist.  This is a permanent full time position.  We are a small private billing clinic dedicated to providing the best possible personal and medical care for all of our valued patients and associated companies.  The medical services that we offer and deliver are diverse, complex and challenging.  We have a small number of very much valued team members who have been fully trained in all aspects necessary for the completion and delivery of our medical needs.

About the role there are many complexities involved for the type of services that we provide at CTL Medical.  New skills and learning is constant in this challenging, interesting and diverse role. This position is permanent full time and would be most suited to a younger candidate who has the ability, desire, eagerness, willingness and capacity to learn and embrace a variety of new skills. No experience is necessary.  Full training will be provided onsite and professional development courses will be offered when you are ready and courses become available.

About you you must be resilient, have a willingness and capability to learn and retain new knowledge learned.  You are dedicated to your tasks, a fast learner and will always deal with our patients in a warm and friendly manner.  You pride yourself on providing excellent customer service and are seeking a role in a patient-focused clinical environment.  You love being part of a team, and understand that everyone has to work together to ensure that our patients receive the high-level of customer service and patient care that they deserve. Requirements demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and literacy. Must have very good and fast data entry skills. Excellent typing skills and accuracy of data entry. Excellent personal presentation and grooming. Demonstrated outstanding customer service. Excellent phone manner and telephone skills. Be available to work full time.

Provide compassionate patient care. Be a motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Confident personality with a calm and friendly demeanor. Able to cope under pressure. Pride themselves on their meticulous attention to detail. Able to multi-task, show initiative and be well organised. Ability to work quickly and efficiently. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Be available for full time hours on all days of the week.

Duties answering phone calls and greeting patients. Data entry of patient details to Best Practice. Maintaining accurate patient data. Updating patient details. Record keeping and booking appointments in the calendar. Billing patients using MYOB. Processing invoices to Medicare. Using the EFTPOS machine. Printing and collating of medical assessment paperwork.

Sending SMS messages, emailing and scanning. Restocking supplies as required. Checking and maintaining Doctors rooms. Communicate well with all staff members. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Transcribing patient testing data to medical paperwork. Provide accurate patient testing data and records - Training provided. Solely open and close practice when trained.

To be a successful candidate you must be highly organised with the ability to multi-task. Exceptional attention to detail and accurate data entry. Ability to work quickly and under pressure. Empathetic, adaptable and have professional presentation. Friendly, motivated with exceptional people skills. Proven proficiency in administrative skills. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19.
