Medical Receptionist Dunedin South Medical Centre location Otago. Salary $21 - $24 per hour.

About the rolewe are looking for a warm and friendly person to join our reception team.  This is a pivotal role, working in an environment that is fast paced and requires you to be proactive, kind and conscientious.

You are the first point of contact for our patients and community and part of an amazing team that is dedicated to patient care.  You will be welcoming, efficient and able to think on your feet.  The role involves managing phone calls, appointments and enquiries with courtesy and flexibility, following procedures, maintaining records as well as other front-line reception services.

The role is for up to 18 hours per week with potential for growth throughout the year. Must be available Fridays for full-day shift, ideally Tuesday and Thursday mornings as well. You may be required to work extra hours to cover staff leave and will need to be available for extra shifts in the school holidays. No weekend work is required.

Skills and experience calm under pressure and able to multitask. Professional, caring and empathetic attitude. Friendly and helpful team player. Efficient and courteous with an eye for detail. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Experience working with computers essential, along with the ability to learn quickly. Experience with Medtech an advantage but not essential.
