Medical Receptionist Private Advertiser location Auckland.

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our other staff in this busy practice.  The role involves both administration and front line reception duties.

Your responsibilities will be as follows meet and greet patients with a professional attitude. Data entry of patient information. Invoicing and processing payments. Taking phone calls and messages. Email correspondence. Scheduling patient appointments. Liaison between private and public hospitals and ensuring operating lists are prepared.

Liaising with private insurers regarding patient requirements, Digital imaging. Scanning x-rays. Other duties as may be required. A high standard of patient liaison is required along with excellent communication skills and an awareness of cultural differences.  The successful applicant must also have the following skills and experience medical Reception experience.

Proficient computer and typing skills (Microsoft Office - Word/Excel). Competent decision making and problem-solving skills. Well organised with a high attention to detail. Empathetic phone manner. Ability to prioritise and work autonomously when required. Proactive and positive personality able to work well in a team environment. You will be required to work a few days a week (approx. 20 hours) with the ability to be flexible with hours (available evenings on occasion).  You will need to be able to cover for other staff when needed.
