This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and highly regarded WA Melanoma Advisory team, in a job share role as the ‘Medical  Administration Assistant’, where you can make a meaningful difference. As a part time (0.5FTE)  job share ‘Medical Administration Assistant’ you will be the first point of contact for external clients contacting the service, and support the team to ensure the service meets the client’s needs.

In conjunction with your job share colleague, the duties of the role include provide administrative and clerical support. Type clinical letters, including dictation. Answer internal and external telephone calls. Prepare internal and external correspondence, including patient evaluation and referring doctor reports. Prepare invoices for consultants and other charges. Assist with meetings, including circulating agendas, setting up room and minutes. General administration, including archiving and retrieving files.

The ideal candidate will have previous medical clerical/reception experience in the health care environment and/or knowledge working in a similar role.  The successful candidate will be proficient in computing skills; proficient typist (above 60wpm); flexible approach to duties and ability to work under pressure; managing multiple projects with competing deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality output; outstanding communication skills (written and verbal). Professionalism, ‘can do’ attitude, strong problem solving experience as well as a high attention to detail is a must.
