Girbau Australia is part of Girbau Group, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial laundry equipment.  Our customers include hotels, aged care homes, hospitals, dry cleaners, vended and industrial laundries. The role will be providing technical, sales engineering support to industrial and commercial sales team and project management support to the project management team. The opportunity is full time and based in the NSW branch located at Glendenning.

The role the main responsibilities of the role include: The Role requires a Confident Knowledgeable Mechanical Engineer to assist in providing support to the Industrial sales team for all Industrial laundry projects including CAD / 3D design of laundries, equipment selection, and layout, assistance with tenders and proposals, ROI analysis and presentations to customers.

Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs and other relevant standards as part of defined projects. Providing support to the Commercial sales team for Commercial laundry projects, predominantly CAD design/layouts of Commercial laundries. Create, maintain and modify technical drawings, 3D models of the machines and update the library as required.

Generate mechanical design documents for parts, assemblies, or finished products and develop technical datasheets as required. Project Documentation - Preparing Equipment Data Schedules; RFIs Variations; Site Management Plans; Handover Manuals and Final Handover Documentation of Projects.

Assist with major site surveys and product specifications. Attend to engineering requests via Salesforce i.e. specification or design requirements. Actively support and implement company safety, quality and risk management processes. CAD – Proficient in Autocad Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor to draw 2d and 3d drawings.

The person we are interested in a person with the Knowledge, the Skills and Experience to work with a reasonable level of autonomy as well as possessing the following skills At least 2 years experience in the laundry industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.trong fundamental knowledge of working principles of washer and dryers including dryer exhaust and makeup air requirements.

Experience in carrying out laundry projects- including design, shop drawings, communication with builders and other stakeholders to ensure that the services required for the machines are incorrect location and as per specs.

The Following Software Skills Microsoft Word & Excel, with the emphasis on formatting and presentation to a professional grade. Experience in Autocad Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor - knowledge to manage layers, XREFs, viewports, annotations, scales, Tool pallets, renders, joint placement, etc.

Furthermore a desire to win projects by helping the sales team through providing necessary technical information and support on quotes and laundry plans. A sound knowledge of renders and Virtual reality for demonstration of 3D experience of laundry equipment.
