Your opportunity

As a Mechanical Fitter based at our workshop located in Geebung, you will contribute to the routine service and repair of a variety of vehicle-based plant – which includes Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWP), crane borers, vehicle loading cranes (VLC’s) and vacuum extraction units. A big focus of your role will be around hydraulic equipment and systems.

You will provide specialist fitter services as you complete planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, minor and major inspections and project work on vehicle mounted mobile plant.

What you’ll bring

You hold a Trade Certificate in Mechanically related discipline eg., Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic etc.
You are experienced in the operation/maintenance of vehicle-based plant including MEWP, Crane Borers, VLC’s and Vacuum extraction units, and any remote control.
Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency

We’d also love you to have

Hydraulic systems, mechanical fittings, automotive electrical systems, or radio remote control systems.
HR class driver’s licence or the ability to acquire (C Class driver’s license minimum).
High Risk licence for slewing mobile crane (C2) or the ability to acquire.
High Risk licence for Mobile Elevated Work Platform (EWP) or the ability to acquire the licence.

You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical.

You’ll also be required to attend to unscheduled services, breakdowns, and after-hours response once fully trained after 6 - 12 months of starting. The on call roster is currently every 1 in 8 weeks. After hours call outs will receive applicable overtime and on call allowances.
