Government agency seeks a Marketing Coordinator to assist and support the delivery of the organisation's marketing and communications initiatives

Assignment duration is up to 3 months. Immediate start.
Melbourne CBD location/Hybrid arrangement
About the role
Our client, a government agency, seeks an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 3 months based in Melbourne CBD with an immediate start.
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation delivers on its mandate as it relates to its communications and marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Key Accountabilities:
Coordination and management of customer research, marketing, events, and communications activities.
Management of several in-flight business initiatives and campaigns.
Provide input in marketing strategies and campaign execution
Track and analyse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
Run organic and paid campaigns, optimise to ensure each strategy is most effective
Handle ad hoc marketing administrative tasks as directed by Go To Market Manager
Lead the co-ordinator of marketing events and community engagement
Stay up to date with marketing trends, and best practices to maximise reach and engagement
Key Selection Criteria
Experience and skills required to be successful in this role include:
Experience working in a B2C or B2B2C focussed business
Experience in the utilities sector or other highly regulated sector
Project planning and progress monitoring, including budget control and milestone control including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
Hands-on project management and co-ordination skills
Creative mindset with strong storytelling skills
Experience managing a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external)
Strong interpersonal skills coupled with exemplary communication skills add a curious, action-oriented mindset
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and relevant experience in a similar Marketing Coordinator role.
