Description
Marketing and Communications Specialist Student Volunteer Army Foundation location Auckland. $60,000 – $75,000 per year.
The Student Volunteer Army (SVA) was born from the heart of Christchurch during its darkest hours. Conceived by our Founder Sam Johnson and friends at the University of Canterbury, our mission is clear to champion and empower youth volunteering. We inspire and unite young people, igniting a passion for meaningful service that enriches both individuals and their communities.
While our roots lie in crisis response, today, we're so much more. We provide a range of education programs across New Zealand's schools and universities, all completely free of charge. These programs equip the younger generation with vital skills for service and volunteering.
Making an Impact in the recent Auckland flood response, we mobilized an incredible 2,300 volunteers who cleared 287 homes and conducted over 1,500 individual welfare checks.
Our Service Award program is active in over 180 schools, with more than 26,000 intermediate and secondary school students clocking their volunteering hours against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Check out the video below for a glimpse of our amazing work.
