Description

Stratco’s Berrimah manufacturing facility is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic metal processing operator to join our team. The role of the Manufacturing Team Member, also known as a Folder Operator, is to manufacture and assemble products for our trade and customer base.

This is a full time opportunity working day shift (7:30am to 3:36pm) with overtime available. In return, we are offering the opportunity to develop a long-term career with a renowned leader, a competitive remuneration package, along with a great place to work.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing goods to the customers’ requirements
Operating metal folding and pressing machines
Interpret product drawings
General housekeeping activities
Contribute during toolbox and team meetings
Participate in relevant training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures

Skills and attributes:

A commitment to producing quality products
Experience in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery
Experience using sheetmetal manufacturing equipment, particularly folders would be preferred, but not essential
Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers’ needs
Good communicator, both written and verbal
Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
Able to work at pace within a team or at times individually
