Are you an experienced people leader and have a track record of applying the 'leader lead leadership' approach. Can you articulate how Māori Leadership principles permeate through your leadership approach. Can you aptly describe where whānau voice integrates in a service delivery model.

This is a genuine opportunity to influence and mould the service delivery in the East North Island region - this role will be based in either Napier or Hastings. Full-time permanent role with a $152,028 salary + 5 weeks' annual leave + suite of benefits.

Our role the Manager Housing and Wellbeing Support sets and delivers the strategy for how we engage with and support our public housing customers and whānau living in the East North Island. You will be leading and supporting a team, to translate our strategic vision and look for new and innovative ways to be responsive to the changing needs of our customers.

We take the 'One Team' approach so you will not only be expected to have effective and purposeful internal relationships, but walk alongside, influence and develop meaningful external relationships with our external stakeholders in the community. We work collaboratively with service providers, government agencies and community groups so having those strong relationships imbedded into your current practice would be a true advantage.

What you will bring you'll have significant experience in leading and coaching high performing teams and managing service delivery operations. Your cultural awareness using a Te Ao Maori leadership style to support our customers' aspirations and needs is absolutely a pre-requisite for this role.

Experience in transformational change methods (i.e. Systems Thinking). A proven track record in change management and influencing people. You'll have advanced networking and engagement skills to develop collaborative relationships with agencies, support service providers and the broader community, with experience collaborating on strategic programmes of work. You will be adept at de-escalating highly emotional situations, with an empathetic approach and astute emotional intelligence.
