Join Beca’s Building Services leadership team as the Manager of our Central Region team. You will be leading a team of Building Services engineers and consultants located across Beca’s offices in Wellington, New Plymouth and Palmerston North, and delivering projects across the wider Central region. This is an opportunity to build on the strong foundations of this market leading business, and to lead the continued evolution of this team, developing our people, delivering on our strategy to make everyday better for the communities and clients that we serve.
The Manager role is broad, rewarding, challenging and influential, enabling you to apply your people, client and business leadership abilities. You will play a key leadership role influencing and enabling one of New Zealand’s most successful Buildings Services businesses. While Wellington is the main office for the Central region, this role could be undertaken from any of Beca’s Central region offices for the right candidate. The opportunity
Our global team of over 500 Building Services Engineers and Consultants work with clients in a broad cross-section of Beca’s key markets across NZ, Australia, South-East Asia and the Pacific. As our Building Services team continues to develop, we are looking for an experienced, values-driven leader to join us through the next phase of our journey. No two days will be the same in this role where you will have overall responsibility leading building services discipline teams of 40 talented professionals across the Central Region. You will be actively supported by your Team Leaders as your direct reports, along with the Building Services Technical Directors and project delivery leaders. Together with the other Building Services Managers, Technical Directors, Operations Manager and General Manager, you will be part of a Building Services Leadership Team connecting across the business delivering market leading building projects.
This is an opportunity to lead the evolution of a constructive team culture, developing our people and delivering our business plan with a client outcome focus. As the Manager of our Central Building Services business, you will have responsibility for business performance, influence project delivery outcomes, recruitment, retention, mentoring and team development. You will have the autonomy to build and influence the development of our future strategy and will draw on the support of the Building Services leaders to implement initiatives that support the delivery of innovative, sustainable and community focused outcomes. You will also be expected to lead delivery of projects as well as engaging externally with clients, and the broader sector.

This role may suit candidates from a broad range of backgrounds and levels. Experience in a people leadership role would be an advantage, however the role could also suit a delivery, technical or client focused individual who is looking to expand their career into people leadership.
