About the role​ this is a newly created leadership role in our organisation - the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA). This is a senior analysis and intelligence position, reporting directly to the GM, Strategy, Insights and Regulations, and is responsible for ensuring EECA's activities are led and managed by using sound evidence, intelligence and insights, and that energy efficiency programmes are designed and delivered with clear benefits to New Zealand. An important aspect of this role will be relationship management, as you will be expected to work across and influence a broad range of stakeholders.

You'll be leading a team of nine that uses a wide range of data inputs to produce insights and innovations that improve programme design, and inform the wider organisation. You and the team will maintain sector knowledge and technical capability in target markets and technologies, helping to educate others and contribute to EECA's public voice as an Authority. You'll make sure that EECA's work programme and policy advice are based on robust evidence and insights and that EECA identifies and targets opportunities that can deliver the greatest public value at the lowest cost.

You'll be a thought leader who has the ability to interact with and influence others at a senior level, and the ability to think critically. You will also require exceptional influencing and collaboration skills and have a proven track record in leading high performing teams. Your commercial acumen, understanding of market issues and your ability to translate these into successful programmes for energy users will be critical to your success. On top of all of this, you'll have a passion for mobilising New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use.​
