About the role​ this is a great opportunity to make this role your own, it's a new senior leadership position leading all of the procurement and property functions for our organisation - the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).

This is a key third tier leadership appointment, reporting directly to the Group Manager, Corporate Services, where you will be responsible and accountable for delivering all of EECA's procurement and property functions with the support of your team of four. This is a 'hands on' role where you will initially lead the establishment of EECA's centralised procurement model and once established, you will run all of EECA's procurement activities from large RFPs through to small direct sourcing.

You'll also be responsible and accountable for all of EECA's property and facilities management at our three offices (Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch) so no two days will be the same, leading this additional function will add real variety and scope to your work.

About you'll be customer focussed in centralising our procurement model you will deliver great outcomes for your customers. You'll have an extensive procurement background that will include recent and significant experience with New Zealand government procurement guidelines. You will have done the doing, especially when it comes to drafting contacts, and ideally you will have a law degree to accompany your exceptional eye for detail.

Financial management experience is important. While people leadership and property experience is preferred, it is not essential. But if you are looking for a role where you can 'punch the clock' or just a management role, this is it. On top of all of this, you'll have a passion for mobilising New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use.
