Are you an experienced Management Accountant seeking a short-term contract opportunity? We have an exciting role based in The Hunter that might be the perfect fit for you. Our client is a reputable construction company who needs a skilled individual to join their team and assist with various financial tasks for a contract duration of 4-6 months.

The Role:

Inputting accounts payable invoices and processing ad-hoc payments, including BG fees and bank charges.
Supporting supplier payments to ensure accuracy.
Reconciling bank accounts weekly for financial transparency.
Maintaining fixed asset registers and recording depreciation journals.
Assisting with month-end processes such as balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayment journals.
Helping with monthly BAS preparation and ensuring compliance.
Aiding in debtors collection and contributing to cash flow forecasting.
Handling ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the accounting team.
About You:

University degree with commercial experience of 2-5 years.
Ideally on path to becoming CPA or CA qualified (may be studying currently).
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheet and P&L analysis.
While not mandatory, familiarity with the construction industry is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
