Job Description
Your Opportunity to Join Our Team
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Primary Processing Plant in Tahmoor. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and supporting our Trade Waste Plant, as well as assisting with general maintenance duties across the site. You’ll play a key part in ensuring operational reliability and supporting overall plant performance.
This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (40 hours per week).

Full training provided for Trade Waste Plant operations
Daily Tasks
Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the Trade Waste Plant
Attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner
Reducing reactive maintenance and improving unplanned downtime
Assisting with preventative maintenance programs across the site
Ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality assurance practices
Identifying and escalating Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues
Taking personal responsibility for humane livestock treatment
Supporting a range of general maintenance duties across the facility
You Will Bring to This Role
Australian-recognised Mechanical Trades qualification
Experience maintaining industrial equipment such as automated machinery and conveyors—preferably in food or beverage processing
Trade Waste Plant experience is a plus
Strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety practices
Skills in fault finding (hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems)
Basic fabrication capabilities
Experience in both breakdown and preventative maintenance
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS is desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
