Your part in the Statewide Facilities & Maintenance team

Operating at a state-wide level, our Facilities & Maintenance team supports the delivery of UnitingCare Queensland services through proactively managing and maintaining the extensive property portfolios in South East Queensland (SEQ), Rural and Regional Queensland (R&R) and Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS).

Joining the team in the Maintenance and Grounds Officer role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and connect with colleagues, residents and contractors at a designated BlueCare local site whilst being supported by teams in the region and across the state.

A day in the role will see you balancing general gardening duties and lawn care, maintenance of plant and equipment, undertake minor property work and importantly, contribute to the safe and pleasing environment for our aged care residents, staff and visitors.

What makes a difference for us?
Experience in the maintenance building, plant, equipment gardening or landscape or the ability to acquire these skills or the ability to acquire those skills

Demonstrated communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Commitment to be a proactive member of a regional team

Relevant Trade Qualifications or Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction is not mandatory but desirable

Ability to manage work schedules and meeting deadlines

Proficiency in IT systems

Current Australian driver’s license

Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
