Mail Sorter and Delivery Driver Australia Post location Mount Isa. Base salary plus 15% penalties and 12% Super.

Help us deliver like never before as our Mail Sorting Officer and Pick-Up/Delivery Driver, you’ll be working from our Mt Isa Delivery Centre where you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day.

You’ll be working efficiently autonomously and in a team to manually sort mail including packages and parcels. Sorting and scanning mail that comes through the Delivery Centre. Handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly - loading in and out of vehicles and around the facility.

Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and despatch large volume of mail. Assisting with pick up and delivery duties daily from our StarTrack Depot and the Airport. Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.

About you, you are flexible with working additional hours if required. You are happy working indoors and outdoors in this varied position. You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly. Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory. You have a QLD drivers licence with experience driving an automatic van or larger vehicle.

How we’ll deliver for you post probationary pay rate, salary for this role is $53,293 (pro rata based on full-time hours) plus additional 15% shift penalty payments and 12% superannuation.
