An exciting opportunity has been created for a highly professional Lodge Manager to lead the boutique Lodge and restaurant which is located on Waiheke Island.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills and must work well in a team environment, have the ability to work well under pressure, and well developed organizational and time management skills are essential.

Our team requires a flexible and responsive Manager, one who is hands on and who has a positive and approachable manner. You will be managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations reporting directly to Capstone Hotel Management, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic and operating plan for the business.

You will be accountable for the performance of the property monitoring the quality and consistency of service and product delivery, to ensure that the property continuously meets and improves service standards whilst driving sales and achieving budget expectations.

As Lodge General Manager you will foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging employees to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests.

To be successful you will require previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Outstanding leadership skills, previous experience managing a – team, recruiting, training and supervising staff along with HR experience in all aspects.

Great motivator and communicator. Excellent, high quality customer service, ensuring positive guest experiences. Ensure exceptionally high and consistent standards are met throughout the Lodge. Understanding of current Health & Safety obligations. Flexible with regards to work hours to fit around the daily operations and seasonal demands of a Lodge operation. Strong food & beverage experience essential.
