Gordon Legal is Australia's newest full-service social justice law firm. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Receptionist to join our team based in our Melbourne office on casual part-time basis 3 days per week initially with a view to moving to full time hours to cover a maternity leave position in July 2021.

Job tasks and responsibilities key tasks and responsibilities include greet clients and visitors and answer visitor inquiries. Answer and direct incoming calls. Maintain and schedule conference rooms. Create new and/or close client files. Process mail and organise courier deliveries. Handle overflow administration from legal administrators. Ensure reception area is professionally maintained and presented and assisting finance department with data entry, processing and coding of invoices, assistance with payment runs and other tasks as required.

Skills and experience receptionist experience is essential. Law experience preferred but not essential. Confident and personable with a genuine interest in law. Proactive approach to recognising needs, solving problems and anticipating issues. The ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels.

High level of professionalism and exceptional client services skills and able to handle sensitive/confidential information with appropriate care. Sound verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail. Excellent time management and multitasking/prioritisation abilities and previous accounts processing experience desirable but not essential.
