About the Role
Are you ready to shape the future of exercise and sport science? Swinburne University of Technology is looking for a passionate and innovative Lecturer to join the School of Health Sciences.

In this role, you’ll teach and help develop our accredited Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science program, which is accredited at the Exercise Scientist (AES) level by Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA). A key focus will be on our placement program, providing work-integrated learning, and giving students valuable hands-on experience in the industry. You’ll work closely with academic staff to design and deliver engaging lessons across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Your responsibilities will include teaching, course coordination, curriculum development, student support, and research. We value candidates with strong teaching experience, curriculum management skills, industry connections, and a developing research record.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Demonstrated ability to manage curriculum, and high-quality teaching in Exercise and Sport Science.
Ability to deliver a program in work integrated learning (professional practice), working with industry partners and the placement team at Swinburne.
A record of quality research as evidenced by publications and non-traditional research outcomes, with the ability to obtain funding through grants and/or industry collaboration.

Qualifications
A doctoral qualification in Exercise and Sport Science. Candidates who may not have PhD but have extensive industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
Accreditation with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as AES is preferred.
A teaching qualification would be advantageous.
