Learning Assistant Central Auckland Specialist School location Auckland.

We have vacancies for enthusiastic Learning Assistants, for Monday to Friday, during school term times only. Our school caters for students aged 5 to 21 years with a wide range of diversities including Autism, Cerebral Palsy and complex bodies and health needs. The ideal applicants will have some prior experience working with children and young people with special needs,  or be willing to learn, as on the job training will be given.

Our learning assistants are an important part of the school. They need to enjoy interacting with learners. Be reliable and energetic. Have a reasonable level of physical fitness. Be open to new learning. Be able to work as part of a team and across the school (which is not on one site, but spread across 8 different sites.)

Have a current drivers licence and reliable transport. Have a good spoken and written English. Be able to follow instructions and programmes.
