Description

Randstad is working on behalf of a medium sized Surveying, Planning and Engineering Consultancy specialised in creating sustainable and innovative urban environments. Working on behalf of predominantly private clients, they take pride in shaping the future of the Auckland region through comprehensive development solutions.

With the level of front-end design, planning and delivery work growing and a positive outlook over the next 12 - 24 months, a need has arisen for a Land Surveyor with 2 or more years experience to join their Auckland-based team.

You will be complimenting a team of five surveyors and due to the diverse nature of projects will be offered a clear path to becoming licensed.

Responsibilities:

Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment and techniques to determine boundaries, topography, and other essential data.
Analyse survey data and prepare detailed reports, maps, and drawings for use in land development projects.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure survey requirements are met and project timelines are adhered to.
Utilise GIS and CAD software to process and interpret survey data accurately.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of survey activities in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to address survey-related issues and ensure project success.
Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Surveying
Eligible for license as a Cadastral Surveyor in New Zealand.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in either a contractor or consultancy environment.
Proficiency in surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in GIS and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS) is preferred.
Knowledge of New Zealand surveying regulations and standards is advantageous.
This is a great opportunity to work alongside Licensed Surveyors on a day to day basis, soaking up the depth of knowledge on offer. Work from home options are available on an agreed basis.
