Laboratory Technician Macquarie University location Sydney.

The role the school of education is seeking an experienced and service focused laboratory technician to provide technical and logistical laboratory services to support the learning and teaching objectives of students in the School of Education. In this busy and varied part-time role, you will prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, plant, animal and chemical materials to ensure availability for teaching staff and university students to use in their practical classes. You will also be asked to demonstrate straightforward laboratory techniques, equipment and procedures to staff and students, ensuring that you follow and demonstrate safe work procedures and standard operating procedures.  For further information regarding this role please download and view the Position Description.

About you will have previous experience working as a technician in a science laboratory. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of current molecular techniques, using laboratory equipment and explain procedures. You will have excellent organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail and be able to communicate and present information clearly to a wide variety of people. You will have a strong professional service focus and be able to actively demonstrate the values of the Faculty of Arts Professional Services Charter; teamwork, excellence, service, and innovation.
