To realise our vision we need a Junior Merchandise Planner with exceptional analytical, time management and communication skills to join our team.

Your role is to work closely with the Product & Campaign teams to drive revenues and margin by managing the demand plan, ensuring stock availability and supporting the team in analysing the products, promotions and categories performances.

The main responsibilities of this role are manage the line level forecast to ensure timely replenishment and availability of appropriate inventory to meet sales and margin targets whilst minimizing costs. Ensure that line level forecast is in line with budgeted revenues; inform the team to risk or opportunities to budget.

Manage and regularly review forecasting calculation, parameters, and methodology in order to improve forecast accuracy. Coordinate and propose the promotional plan at sku and or category level with the buyer and CM of relevant category. Provide data and insight to promotional performance. Ensure the forecast accuracy % meets or exceeds targets set by planning manager.

Provide forecasts to suppliers and operation team to ensure stock, capacity and raw materials are available to achieve the projected demand. Support the management of all markdowns within budgeted margin to ensure the right level of inventory is held in each category at all time and manage the exit of old and exit lines out of the business. Ability to communicate directly with factories, freight forwarders and suppliers as required.

Manage pricing, promotion, merchandising and the supply of products to ensure stock availability meets or exceeds targets and inventory levels are within budgets. Provide data, insights and recommendations to the product team to drive revenues, conduct range reviews, develop assortment and buy plans, build the product strategy and budget. Assist in developing and managing the OTB and merchandise plans.

Follow product and market trends, competitors, suppliers and macro-economics to provide recommendations to the team and optimise the demand and merchandise plans. Preparing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting. Developing new reporting tools and suggesting innovative approaches wherever possible. Provide support and recommendations to drive sales, reduce costs and improve the customer experience.

What you already have previous junior planner or demand planner experience at least 2 years in a fast-paced retail environment. Experience in forecasting and managing promotions, pricing and inventory. A passion or past experience in furniture or homewares is preferable. Analytical mindset with strong financials and numerical skills and excellent attention to details.

Strong Excel skills, SQL and database knowledge is a plus. Experience using an ERP and Forecasting/planning systems is desirable. High levels of energy, the role requires good time management and multi-tasking aptitudes. Team player with an ability to sustain strong relationships with all stakeholders within the business.

Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business. Chinese language skills are beneficial. Results driven you enjoy driving performance and putting the customer at the centre of every decision. Solving problems, taking initiatives and willingness to learn are must have.
