Due to growth an exciting opportunity has been created for a Junior Assistant Accountant to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant you will provide vital support to the business units with a focus on assisting with month-end processes, providing financial insights for business decisions, and contributing to various projects. You will also have exposure to a variety of stakeholders and be an integral part of a dynamic finance team.

Responsibilities will include supporting the month-end closing processes. Preparing month-end journals, such as accruals, prepayments, and FX gain/loss. Key suppliers invoice reconciliations. Assisting with balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations. Preparing wastage/sampling journals. Preparing weekly sales discount journals.

Assisting with inventory and production reconciliations. Helping with monthly/weekly reconciliations. Preparing royalty reconciliations and validating store rebates. Preparing the merchandising invoice calculations.

Maintaining the Power BI database for customer P&L reports. Overseeing AP & AR. Supporting the other business units with various sales reports and tracking. Supporting with project work including forecast and performance tracking for New Product Development.

Required skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Working towards your CA qualification. Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an Accounts/Finance team, preferably in the FMCG sector or similar. Advanced Excel skills and in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping.
