About the Opportunity

Our new glass factory in Yatala is our largest investment to date. It will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland glass each year to produce 1 billion bottles. With advanced machinery and control systems, we ensure efficient, high-quality production. Located next to our box and can plants, the site will form a beverage container precinct, supporting customers and creating new job opportunities.

What you will do

As a Job Change Specialist, you’ll work closely with the Job Change Manager and wider operations team to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of glass containers.

In this position you will play an important role in executing product changeovers, general glassmaking operations, building your skills to become an expert in the manufacturing of glass containers.

Day Shift – Monday to Friday (8hr shift)
Full training provided through Visy Training Academy
Starting rate from $40 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of product changeovers, machine conversions, and general glassmaking operations
Setup, operate and maintain a wide range of equipment related to Glass melting and container forming operations, such as:
Glass melting, heating and cooling systems
Specialist glass container forming equipment
Servo and robot controlled machines
Infrared and vision control systems
Conduct routine quality checks and initiate corrective actions
Perform preparatory works for future changeovers
Support daily production and maintenance activity as directed

What you will bring to the team

Experience in continuous manufacturing or heavy industry
A ‘can do’ attitude
Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools and precision instruments
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field (highly regarded but not essential).
