IT Technician Urbis Pty Ltd location Sydney, CBD, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs. Salary Good package plus additional Rota pay. We are looking for an IT Technician – Helpdesk & Desktop Support who is a proactive self-starter, team player, lateral thinker and outstanding communicator. The successful applicant will bring the right combination of talent, energy and a commitment to excellence to our National Information & Digital team based in Sydney, and will operate in our rotating support roster. Your skills as the it technician – helpdesk & desktop support your responsibilities will include providing high-quality first and second level technical support for urbis staff in all urbis offices, enabling other it technicians in sydney, melbourne and perth to complete specialised it projects by responding to it support requests from all offices, monitoring and responding quickly and effectively to requests received through the technology service desk either via our national hotline number or ticketing system, utilising and maintaining the helpdesk ticketing system, inspecting and performing minor repairs and liaising with external vendors for the repairs to it equipment as needed, assisting in investigating, analysing and resolving hardware problems including performing hardware repairs, maintenance, technical assistance and support on all computing equipment and peripherals, managing setup and deployment for new employees via active directory account creation and deploying standard hardware, assisting in system upgrades, installing, integrating, customising, configuring and testing new systems and hardware, and resolving configuration conflicts and errors. This role will ideally suit someone with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with a combination of the following competencies tertiary qualifications in information technology (or equivalent industry certification), relevant experience in an it support role involving frequent, direct contact with colleagues, experience working in an office 365 environment enhancing collaboration and productivity using these tools, experience with a variety of it equipment, predominantly microsoft applications and server tools, sccm, surface pro’s, iphones and ipads.
