The business with its New Zealand Head Office in East Tamaki this multi-national organisation is involved in the manufacture and distribution of steel and other products used in the building and construction industries. Supporting 45 sites and a largely decentralised organisation structure, the role of information systems is vital.

The role to strengthen the IS function we are looking for an individual who will take on the responsibility for supporting the country-wide user network. This position reports to the group’s IT Operation Manager.

We need you to be the “go to”, Help Desk and desktop support individual. Phone support for the Group’s users using remote access tools. Incident and ticket allocation. Supporting and maintaining IT business applications and in-house applications. Basic network and routing support. Account provisioning.

Liaising with 3rd Party providers to log faults and register new services. Purchasing of equipment for the company. Assist in the administration of the company’s ERP systems. Write user documentation for common tasks. Liaise with senior staff to escalate issues and provide feedback from users.

Experience supporting windows 10/11 workstations in domain and non-domain environments. Basic knowledge of Windows Active Directory. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Linux, Exonet, MYOB, Comacc and Pronto would be beneficial. This role is key to how the organisation’s users feel supported by the groups IS team. You will need to be able to work autonomously, effectively and accurately whilst using your strong communication and relationship skills.
