IT Support Randstad Technologies location Melbourne.

Randstad has partnered with a leading client in the education sector based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne suburbs and they are on the lookout for an exceptional Level 1 & 2 IT Support technician to join their support team for a 12 month contract.

The role responsibilities in this role you will be providing end-user software and hardware troubleshooting and support, which will generally entail a mix of email queries, walk ups and project-work. You will be working within an IT Support team, where you will be require to provide 1st and 2nd level support within a Windows, Apple, Active Directory and MS Office 365 environment for 2000+ users.

You will also be required to perform the following diagnose hardware and software failures, communicate remediation plans to users, and provide status updates. Provide software support for users’ applications, including support in basic to advanced software operations and general use of computers and peripherals. Configure, install, and support desktop computers, notebooks, printers, monitors, and other general peripherals. Relocate IT equipment including desktop computers, printers, monitors, and other general peripherals.

Connect and configure IT devices to access computer networks. Support desktop maintenance, including peripheral and software distribution, and security maintenance, including virus updates and patch management. Document all user requests and actions taken in the Zendesk ticketing system. Re-image desktops and notebooks as needed, and deploy new equipment to end users. Track and update the movement of all IT assets within the asset tracking system. Contribute knowledge and updated information to maintain the Service Desk Knowledge Base and Training manuals.

The ideal person will have experience providing Level 1 and 2nd level IT Support. Highly customer focused. Experience using IT Service Management tools, primarily Zendesk. Experience in Microsoft InTune, Casper, Apple Deployment Program, Microsoft SCCM. Experience in supporting desktop users in both Windows and Apple.

Experience in Microsoft Office365 or Active Directory. Understanding of print management and printer troubleshooting. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Eligibility to pass a Working With Children Check.
