IT Operations Manager Football Federation Australia location Sydney. Football Federation Australia (FFA) is the governing body of football in Australia. The FFA’s vision is to become the biggest and most popular sport in Australia driven by a strategy that focuses on improving the experience for all participants, building generations of successful national teams and Leading football towards a united purpose. Main Purpose of this role to achieve these goals FFA must become technology and knowledge leaders with an ambitious goal to become the digital leader in Australian sport. This will be achieved with a renewed focus on transforming the digital experience for the football community and leveraging new technology to support the business. As the IT Operations Manager you will be lead all aspects of IT Operations and Application Support. You will dictate the overall direction for the IT Infrastructure needed to support the digital transformation plan and enable increased staff efficiency, knowledge sharing and collaboration. Key accountabilities with a strong technical background and leadership experience you will be accomplished in leading IT operations, infrastructure and application projects. IT management own the ffa's security policy, cloud migration plan and business continuity plan, security, maintenance, support and accountability for ffa's customer data sets, manage and develop policies for use of applications and systems, create and maintain good relationships with software vendors and outsourced it services providers, manage slas and provision of end user computing / desktop support, assisted by outsourced provider, standardise support mechanisms for both internal and external customers e.g. ticketing systems, increase staff efficiency, knowledge sharing and collaboration through the rollout of new applications, implement and maintain a new operating model and governance identifying responsibilities for line of business applications. Digital & it projects develop and maintain ffa's technology roadmap, support platform architect with rollout of new transformative technologies e.g. 'data as a service' capability, content management and analytics, provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment, lead upgrade of office it infrastructure, migrating workloads where the cloud is fit for purpose, establish and lead enterprise wide initiatives as directed by the technology roadmap e.g. crm, erp, plan and execute it projects within budget and set timescales and be integral to the sustained monitoring and maintenance of systems and applications. Technical operations & infrastructure management of ffa's digital platform operations, deployment processes, source control and hosting infrastructure, ownership for all third party slas and operations procedures, develop ffa's domain strategy with legal and marketing. implement dns management approach. Technical support documentation of production systems to ensure effective ongoing management, troubleshooting issues to locate the root cause, complex technical support and issue resolution. Position requirements ms based systems office 365, sharepoint, exchange, active directory, sql, crm and 'marketing cloud' technologies e.g. bulk mail, virtualisation technologies, application administration, configuration and troubleshooting, cloud based software-as-a-service (saas) and infrastructure as a service (iaas) technologies, sql server environments, data analytics and business intelligence tools. In addition you will have strong experience with application support, application lifecycle management and application deployment technologies is a necessity, ability to contribute to strategic direction and make everyday decisions with a strategic viewpoint, strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
