About Numbers Executive is supporting a nameplate Infrastructure Fund with an established portfolio of assets and an appetite for continued, measured growth. Currently, an Investment Analyst is sought to join its team in Melbourne.

The opportunity investment Analyst is responsible for supporting the evaluation, acquisition and ongoing management of large-scale infrastructure, energy and renewables assets. Day-to-day this might include maintaining and reviewing financial models that support the acquisition, divestment and ongoing financial management of infrastructure assets. Providing analytical support to investment managers when preparing cash flow forecasts, budgets, financing compliance obligations and board reports.

Providing financial modelling assistance with semi-annual valuations, including the review of valuation reports and annual audits. Supporting capital raising activities, including preparation of responses to prospective investors' due diligence queries. Providing support to Investor Relations activities via preparation of reports for assets, funds and other institutional investors. Supporting Directors and Senior Managers with the origination of investment opportunities.

This is a key position within the infrastructure investment team and will provide the successful incumbent with a pathway to developing a sound understanding of the infrastructure, energy and core-plus sectors, whilst forging a successful career in unlisted funds management.

Required skills and experience prior experience supporting transactions relating to Brownfield transactions or Greenfield bids is preferable. This experience has likely been gained within an investment bank, M&A advisor, Project Finance Advisor, PPP Originator or a Deals-focused team within a Chartered Accounting firm.

Applicants will possess a relevant tertiary degree, likely in Commerce, Finance or Engineering with an exceptional academic record. It is likely applicants will be working towards or have completed a post-graduate qualification such as the Chartered Financial Analyst or Chartered Accounting program.  Importantly, we seek applicants with curious minds, a genuine interest in "the way things work" and who have long-term career aspirations within the infrastructure and energy investment sectors.
