The opportunity we currently have a great opportunity for a Investment Analyst to join the Investment Management team. Our team is small, highly dynamic, intelligent and will provide you with a wealth of experience to learn and further develop. You will be assisting portfolio managers with research, data analytics, portfolio management and investment administration across a range of different asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives and private markets. This role will have you working with our Investment Advisory, Operations, Legal and Risk teams as well as maintaining relationships with external fund managers.

Key responsibilities monitor and report on existing fund managers on the approved product list. Help with the search for new managers, and make recommendations for selection Assist with analytical research contributing to the improvement of portfolio construction within model portfolios of individual asset classes. Undertake asset class and market research and analysis that supports manager research initiatives and development of external, client-facing content. Provide ad-hoc analysis support for the rest of the Investment Management team.

About you an imperative quality for this role is attention to detail with a very high level of accuracy. Degree in finance related discipline or relevant business experience. CFA Charter holder preferred, with a willingness to undertake further industry related education. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in manager research related roles.

Understanding of manager strategies across multiple asset classes, and the ability to critique managers to help determine skill and likelihood of positive performance. Experience with Morningstar Direct viewed positively. Understanding of wealth management/financial planning concepts and compliance/legislative frameworks. Ability to prioritise and manage stakeholder expectations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
