Our client is experiencing planned growth and is looking for someone to take over the hands -on ownership of the inwards goods operation. The company currently manufactures products for high profile organisations in New Zealand and abroad. This is an important and integral position where you will be working with a diverse range of plastic and packaging consumables.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager you will be required to take ownership of the inwards goods Warehouse, physically checking off deliveries and entering products into the system. Manage stock using the in-house computerized MRP system to control inventory and ensure raw materials flow through to manufacturing.

Liaise with freight forwarders in relation to custom clearance of imports. Ensure all MPI requirements are met in conjunction with TFO. Coordinate activities internally with warehouse, purchasing and production staff. As you can see this sole -charge role carries a large amount of autonomy, so you will be energetic and willing to take on different challenges in a fast-moving business.

To be competent to fulfill this role you will need at least 5 years’ experience in warehousing. Experience from within a manufacturing environment. Experience in computer systems, booking in stock, transferring stock and raising orders, reports etc. Experience in negotiating with Freight forwarders. Preferably have your MPI and TF accreditation. Have a current Forklift Reach license. Numerical competency.
